This event arises from the collaborative initiative between the Chilean Institute of Clinical Social Work and the European Center for Clinical Social Work. In this sense, the IChTSC, in its mission to create an interconnected global community of Clinical Social Work, has generated some meetings since 2024 to integrate other countries on the world scene, such as Germany and Austria. To this end, work alliances are recommended, one of these collaborative actions being this event, inviting the Chilean Society of Clinical Social Work to promote this event.

General description

The Chilean Institute of Clinical Social Work is committed to promoting, generating, developing and strengthening Clinical Social Work, with respect to its knowledge and qualified practice in Chile, including all of Latin America and other countries that require our knowledge and skills. We maintain a vocation linked to the vanguard in this specialty, privileging the excellence and quality of our specialized training, as well as in the various events that we carry out with the intention of creating a global community. In this sense, this event is intended as an exchange and dialogue between a Latin American perspective of Clinical Social Work (Chile) and a European one in particular, which will be represented by colleagues from Germany and Austria, who are part of the European Center for Clinical Social Work.

General objectives:

  • To generate an open, plural, reflective-critical space that allows for a dialogue on the panorama of Clinical Social Work in Chile, Germany and Austria.

  • To visualize the most relevant clinical and/or therapeutic practices in the respective invited countries in order to make known the general aspects and approaches to the forms of Clinical Social Work from both continents.

Activity aimed at:

Preferably Social Workers with a university professional degree and/or an academic degree of Bachelor of Social Work, both from Chile and internationally; as well as students of the last years of the career of Social Work of Chilean and foreign Universities.
